Our food & menu
A family’s journey from Sicily to Altrincham
What makes our food special?
Every dish we serve comes from generations of Sicilian tradition. We make our pasta fresh every morning, source authentic ingredients from Sicily, and cook with the same care we’d show our own family.
The Sicilian kitchen
Our kitchen is simple: real ingredients, traditional techniques, and recipes passed down through our families. No shortcuts, no compromises.
What matters to us
- Fresh pasta made daily
- Sicilian pistachios from Mount Etna
- Authentic imported ingredients
- Traditional family recipes
Mount Etna’s volcanic soil grows Sicily’s finest pistachios – the secret ingredient in our most-loved dishes.
Customer reviews
The most incredible pasta I have ever had. As a pasta lover this is a hard title to achieve; there’s stiff competition, but Bar Etna is by far the most delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is friendly, warm and welcoming – the servers are courteous but full of personality – their jokes and warm hospitality make coming to Bar Etna feel like a (delicious, even better than mum’s cooking) family dinner. The food was exceptional. We had the arancini, tomato bruschetta, pistachio pasta and carbonara pasta. Although I could barely walk after – generous portions – I ate every last bite. We WILL be back!

As a Sicilian, I can strictly recommend Caffè Etna in Altrincham — it’s one of the few places where I’ve found the true flavours of my country. The pasta was excellent, cooked perfectly and full of authentic taste, and the sorbetto was exactly how it should be: refreshing and genuine. The staff were very attentive and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel at home. If you’re looking for real Sicilian quality, this is the place to go.

Etna is an absolute treasure! 💎
We visited as a group of four and felt warmly welcomed from the moment we walked in. The arancini was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted—crispy, golden, and packed with flavor. The pasta dishes were perfection, each one a delicious masterpiece! And the desserts? Simply heavenly! The tiramisu was so rich and delicious, and the cannoli, filled with creamy ricotta, felt like a little taste of Sicily.
The warm atmosphere and attentive service made the evening even more special. A truly unforgettable meal—we can’t wait to return! 🎉
